Halfway Home

We are halfway thru the regular season, and the standings are almost as tight as they were 7 weeks ago.... Three teams at 5-2, four more at 4-3 and another at 3-4. All told, 8 of the 12 teams are within two games of the league's best record, and two more are just 1 more game back.

There are a bunch of big games this week: Division leaders clash in the game of the week when Payne travel to take on the Shatners - the winner will own the league's best record heading into Week 9. This week's intradivision games feature the East - division leaders Lauber host the Curs, while Vengeance take on Kholtz in a sibling rivalry game.

Six weeks down...

...and eight to go. The season is really shaping up to be a tight race to the finish. A quick glance at the standings page reveals two teams at 5-1 (no more undefeateds), three at 4-2, and three more at 3-3. If the playoffs started this week, the matchups would be Lauber (4-2) at Dominators (5-1) and Schrooms (4-2) at Payne (5-1) in a rematch of week 6 when the Schrooms knocked off the previsously undefeated Payne.

Somehow, some way, the Greibrok Curs, with the league's #2 offense, keep managing to lose games and now sit in the basement of the Eastern Division at 1-5. Only the Family store, at 0-6, have a worse record than the Curs.

Game of the Week for Week 7 is Dominators and Shatners with first place in the West on the line.
