Welcome!

Hi! Welcome to the commissioner blog for the Fantasy Football League of the Upper Midwest, also known as FFLUM. It's a league made up of friends who met at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, Minnesota. The league is different than most leagues because it runs continuously from year to year, but not in the "keeper" sense that many leagues employ. FFLUM hopes to gain notoriety through the use of a detailed system of player retention. Teams may end up keeping 10 or more players from one year to the next, based on contracts.

Yes, that's right. Contracts. Not in the sense one normally understands the word, however. FFLUM's contract system places a premium on drafting well, because the players an owner drafts in the early rounds are under contract to his team for two or three seasons. There is also a "Franchise Tag" available to owners each year as well.
